SUMMARY OF POSITION
Warner Bros. Consumer Products Inc. seeks a Director, Worldwide Marketing for the WBCP Worldwide Marketing department. Create and develop global strategic marketing plans for Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, the collective Hanna-Barbera portfolio as well as other properties as assigned, for Consumer Products. Develop, manage and integrate elements of the brand eco-system (e.g., content, marketing, sister division programs such as interactive and home entertainment, etc.) in franchise execution. Work with Sales, Creative, Retail and International teams to design and execute plans that drive revenue while meeting brand objectives and strategies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, manage and present marketing plans and brand guidelines. Marketing plans to include: property objectives, strategies, tactics, brand values and guidelines, retail ideas and sell in tools, marketing programs and associated budgets.
Identifies and brainstorms unique ideas and executable programs to drive innovative marketing plans.
Works to develop cohesive and synergistic plans across all disciplines within WBCP (Retail, sales, creative, product development, etc.).
Drives the following activities for assigned properties:
Oversees day-to-day management of property(ies).
Ensures that all marketing plans are designed and implemented to meet specific measurable goals (short term and long term).
Coordinates with all WBCP departments to develop cohesive marketing initiatives, including but not limited to promotional activities, trade and/or consumer promotions, advertising and other activities.
Works with sales teams to identify incremental business opportunities and to increase sell-in and sell-thru of licensed products.
Works with retail business development teams to ensure brand placement and presence at retail is maximized.
Works closely with international offices to support regional implementation of marketing strategies. Present all property initiatives and marketing plans, either in person or via conference call.
Ensures the worldwide distribution of information and materials on a timely basis.
Participates in licensee meetings, when appropriate.
Partner with sales to support global licensees and develops best practice strategies to support global and local partners in all categories.
Recommends and implements market research where appropriate. Manages annual tracking studies related to assigned properties.
Plans and directs key licensee summit meetings and/or related trade show meetings.
Manages annual budget and quarterly financial reporting on expenditures.
Builds and maintains relationship with applicable colleagues in sister divisions: TV, Interactive, Digital, WHV, Cartoon Network, etc. to establish a reliable and timely flow of information and materials related to assigned properties.
Work collaboratively with sales, creative and sales to determine creative strategy for property style guides.
Drive marketing opportunities, including but not limited to content and advertising, in new channels and media outlets (e.g., digital outlets).
Carries out other duties as assigned by the Vice President or Senior Vice President.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
MBA preferred.
Minimum 7 years experience in related field required.
Minimum 5 years experience in managing staff required.
International business or marketing experience is strongly preferred.
Brand management experience is strongly preferred.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency required.
Strong, proven management and interpersonal skills are critical.
Must have sound understanding of marketing principles and brand management.
Must have a clear understanding of the dynamics and needs of licensing.
Must have effective communication and presentation skills.
Must have strong attention to detail in organization, planning and follow-through.
Fluent command of the English language required; second language is preferred.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person and on the telephone.
Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions.
Must have the ability to organize, schedule and prioritize work effectively.
Must have the ability to work well under time constraints.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
