Duties and Responsibilities
Our client is now the leading European provider in the field of cashless payment, which is a fast-growing and pioneering industry in the financial services sector. You must be able to actively deploy your extensive knowledge and experience in a Java development environment as you work with the latest enterprise technologies, Java frameworks, high-availability environments and high-tech data centres.
Your responsibilities will include:
implementation of new and refactoring of existing payment processing and financial core services (bookkeeping, reconciliation, accounting, clearing, settlement, etc.)
provision of business excellence (mass payment processing, financial core services, data modeling, design & report engine, business process management (BPM)), guidance and technology assistance to other colleagues (technical and non-technical)
effectively automation of of the company’s business processes
contribution to turning existing architecture into service oriented (SOA modularization and encapsulation of services and data)
design and implementation of solutions in a mass transaction processing environment
configuration and running of jBPM systems
close collaboration with product owners, business analysts and QA engineers
Your Qualification
Having completed a degree or equivalent apprenticeship in computer science or other relevant fields you have several years of Java development experience in the financial industry or a related field.
In addition, you have:
expert knowledge in Java SE, Java EE/Spring, JPA/Hibernate, JMS, Camel
special knowledge in payment transaction processing, credit card payment processing, bank account transfers, bookkeeping/accounting and/or settlement and clearing procedures
principal knowledge of service oriented architecture
knowledge in architecture technics for designing of mass transaction processing systems
experience with Scrum / agile software development is nice to have
very strong English skills, German Skills is a plus
designer, architect and lead developer skills
a proven analytical and systematic approach to problem solving
strong communication skills (orally and in writing), ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, ability to facilitate collaboration between different stakeholders
