Job Description
Amazon’s Kitchen team is looking for a bright, customer obsessed, driven, and creative candidate to join our team as a Buyer/Vendor Manager. This person will join our buying team on one of our small appliances categories such as Blending & Juicing, Hot Beverage, Cooking Appliances, or Specialty Electrics. The vendor manager’s day-to-day tasks will include a wide range of projects working with teams like site merchandising, inventory management, finance, operations, and marketing.

Key responsibilities:
·Develop a strategic vision for the category, key vendors, and key brands.
· Define the road-map to achieve category leadership within the market segment;
· Manage existing key vendors for profitable growth;
· Recruit new top-tier vendors;
· Broaden our product selection relevant to our customer needs;
· Ensure competitive pricing;
· Analyze business data to find root causes of a variety of different issues and solve the problems/root causes;
· Review and validate promotions; and
· Work with stakeholder teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor Degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience in buying/planning, operations, business analysis, or finance.
Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
Detail oriented.
Experience in presenting to Senior management.
Experience with business analysis and expertise in Excel.
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results – self-starter and self-directed.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects – prioritization, planning and task delegation.
Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools.
Experience negotiating and closing complex business deals.

Preferred Qualifications

E-commerce experience
Experience in the retail sector
Knowledge and/or previous experience within the Kitchen industry
Track record of improving free cash flow and automating processes.
SQL experience
