Description

The Sr. Account Executive will be responsible for the sale of software solutions utilizing direct consultative and complex selling to prospective and current accounts in the Healthcare industry, specifically hospitals, health systems and Accountable Care Organizations.

 

Responsibilities include all aspects of territory and account management including developing sales and marketing plans to acquire, grow, and retain customers within assigned territory; managing account team and support resources during sales cycle; managing sales and licensing procedures; analyzing market trends and setting targets in meeting revenue goals; developing sales tools; and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelors in a business or quantitative related field of study with;
  • 8 years of experience in field sales of computer software solutions (including related training products and services), computer hardware, or telecommunications software/hardware
  • Experience selling in BI, Analytics, Population Health Management,
  • Information Management, Analytics or CRM.
  • Travel 60% of the time as business needs dictate

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to navigate large, complex organizations
  • Ability to uncover business needs at the Director, VP, SVP and C-level’s
  • Knowledge of basic sales techniques
  • Knowledge of hardware and/or software acquisition cycles and buying influences
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics and develop a sales plan
  • Ability to communicate technical and business concepts and related them to
    SAS applications and user needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel as business require

Preferences

  • Experience selling software solutions to the Healthcare industry
  • Experience selling Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing software
  • Verifiable track record of sales quota achievement
  • Preferred work locations of Chicago or Dallas. Other major cities in Midwest / Southwest considered.
