Overview & Responsibilities

The Rackspace Product Marketing Launch Coordinator plays a critical and central role in Rackspace Internationals product launch process, with responsibility for tracking, managing and executing the go-to-market plans and projects for new products and services.  The role has accountability for ensuring products are launched into Rackspace International successfully, and this role requires someone with a combination of skills including: strong project management, consensus building, ability to coordinate resources from a variety of supporting teams and some marketing skills.

This position works closely with Corporate Communications, Segment Marketing (SMB and Enterprise), Product Management, Sales and Support as well as many groups within Rackspace International.


Key Accountabilities

  • For designated minor launches or feature updates: manage, coordinate and lead all elements of the product launch process and execution of go-to-market plans in conjunction with the US launch team
  • For designated major launches: own maintenance and update of the International GTM plans, ensuring agreed elements are delivered to time in conjunction with the US launch team and the appropriate International Product Marketing Manager
  • Ensure sales training and readiness to aid the Sales teams in effectively selling new products to prospective and existing customers
  • Act as the central point of contact and responsibility for all product marketing related communications and product marketing communication strategy
  • Manage internal product marketing communication tools as applied in Rackspace International (ex: Product Marketing Wiki, Proposal Manager, Collateral updates)

 Key Performance Indicators

KPIs Include (not limited to):

  • Launch plans are agreed, completed and circulated appropriately
  • Minor launches happen to time and within any agreed budget constraints
  • All relevant stakeholders are appropriately informed of launch developments and activities
  • Any outlined targets for particular launches (including but not limited to revenue) are achieved
  • All agreed launch deliverables are delivered in appropriate templates, to time and agreed quality standards
  • Demonstrated history of managing projects and executing on plans.
  • Experience in launching new high tech (hw, sw, hosting) products a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional/matrixed organisation
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing business priorities
  • Strong drive for results and ability to execute on the fly
  • Experience with process (building, utilising and optimising) for scale
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, communications, decision-making, presentation and organisation skills
  • Highly driven self starter, motivated, with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to remain poised and exude discretion
  • Excellent working knowledge of PC tools including database management, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation tools
  • BS/BA required
  • Ability to provide FANATICAL support
