As a Partner Success Manager within Symantec’s Consumer & Small Business Sales group for the North American Region, this position will be responsible for developing and driving business with key partners to solve the security and information management needs of consumer and small business customers across multiple go to market routes including device manufacturers, internet service providers/online content providers, independent software vendors and retail/eCommerce partners. His/her primary role is to drive sales of Norton and Symantec products and services through these partnerships and to ensure that bookings targets and sales goals for these partnerships are being exceeded. This role will be both embedded in Strategic Partner teams led by a primary partnership success manager, as well has have primary responsibility for Tier 2 and Tier 3 partnerships. The successful candidate for this role must be able to engage both broadly and at an executive level with their partnerships in order to understand the partner’s business objectives in order to align and drive Symantec initiatives against these objectives. In addition, the successful candidate must understand the security and information management needs of the consumers and small businesses our partnerships are serving.

Role

• Primary responsibility for the Partner Success Manager role is to drive sales through their partnerships to ensure bookings targets are being exceeded.
• Work in a team environment, in some cases supporting the primary Partner Success Manager for Strategic Partnerships. In all cases, working with marketing, sales engineering, product management as well as operational support teams.
• Contribute to setting partnership strategy, account plans and forecasting revenue for his/her partnerships.
• In conjunction with Consumer & Small Business Marketing, develop and implement the go-to-market strategy for his/her partnerships, including obtaining support from other organizations that will contribute to the business.
• Oversee key relationships with members of the partnership, and ensure appropriate executive mappings are in place. Frequently interface with the partners to gather and prioritize issues impacting success in the market place.
• Represent Norton and Symantec products, services and initiatives to the partnership, including introducing new opportunities.
• Develop new business models with the partners to expand the overall business.
• In conjunction with Global Supply Chain, Distribution partners, and other cross functional operations teams ensure partners product inventory is maintained, including support for launch of new product versions and new products.

Qualifications Qualifications and Candidate Profile

• Educated to a minimum of B.A./B.S. Degree level, MBA or equivalent work experience preferred
• 4 Years+ of sales experience
• Excellent presentation skills. Candidates should be comfortable to present effectively to large audiences, both internal and external. Successful candidates will be required to give a presentation if invited to a follow-on interview
• Highly presentable, articulate and with a mature outlook
• Ability to interact with people at all levels, to gain trust and to exercise balanced judgment. This includes both internally and at senior levels with customers

• A self-motivated, effective time manager needing little direct management
• Tenacious without being aggressive
