A Torino infatti TIM realizzer\u00e0 il primo Open Lab di ricerca e innovazione in Italia dedicato al \u201cNB \u2013 IoT\u201d, aperto ad aziende e sviluppatori per favorire e accelerare la crescita dei servizi Internet of Things e lo sviluppo di applicazioni industriali.<\/p>\n<p>Quest\u2019accordo costituisce un importante passo nell\u2019evoluzione della rete mobile 4G e della futura 5G verso l\u2019Internet of Things, settore in rapido sviluppo nell\u2019ICT che stimoler\u00e0 una fase innovativa nel mercato rappresentando un\u2019importante opportunit\u00e0 per l\u2019industria delle comunicazioni. La tecnologia NB-IoT consente infatti bassi consumi, maggiore copertura di rete e la possibilit\u00e0 di collegare grandi numeri di oggetti in modo conveniente: tutte caratteristiche indispensabili per l\u2019Internet of Things. Questa tecnologia potr\u00e0 essere adottata nell\u2019ambito del sistema delle rilevazione dei contatori energetici, nella logistica, nell\u2019agricoltura smart, oltre che nella sicurezza, finanza, trasporti e nell\u2019automazione industriale.<\/p>\n<p>Gabriela Styf Sjoman, Responsabile di Engineering &amp; TILab di TIM, dichiara:\u00a0<em>&#8220;Siamo molto ottimisti sullo sviluppo dei servizi Internet of Things, che rappresentano una delle principali aree di innovazione di TIM.
