Our sellers come in many shapes and sizes: individuals selling used products for cash as auctions, entrepreneurs turning an idea into a flexible income stream for themselves and multi-million pound/euro/dollar businesses using eBay as a fixed price retail channel. The UK Consumer Seller team focuses on the first ones.
Consumer sellers (also known as C2C) are the foundation of eBay and are still a highly valuable part of the marketplace today. Many of the most active buyers on eBay are also sellers and we fundamentally believe that our marketplace offering C2C products alongside great products from retailers is a critical differentiator.

The goal of the UK C2C team is to understand and evolve eBay’s consumer selling proposition to continue to drive growth in this valuable part of the marketplace. The team drives sellers’ experience, from listing to pricing and marketing, working cross functionally with the rest of the business.

Responsibilities:

·         Become the advocate of our C2C sellers: leverage research and understanding around barriers, motivations and behaviours of C2C sellers to influence and prioritise decisions.
·         Seller engagement: Create a holistic approach to how we engage and communicate with our C2C sellers. Working with Marketing, Insight and global product teams to develop, define and implement actionable seller communication strategies. End goal would be to ensure sellers receive personalised and relevant communications which are fully embedded in broader CRM & Loyalty plans.
·         How do we encourage more shoppers to buy from consumer sellers?: Define and implement actionable initiatives to highlight the buyer benefits of purchasing from consumer sellers. From working with the marketing team to integrate C2C inventory within the buying proposition, to working with category teams to figure out how we show the right C2C inventory to the right buyers.
·         Regional and Global partnership: work with other country teams, especially in US & Germany, to share best practice and leverage our portfolio to quickly test & scale different approaches.

Education Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
