As a Sales manager, you’ll lead and coach high-performing account teams that use consultative sales skills to understand our advertisers’ needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses. You will also work with the sales leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business. Sales managers willingly help their teams and roll up their sleeves to partner directly with clients to provide comprehensive service. You are an excellent communicator with a proven ability to train and motivate a large team, and you take an analytical approach to sales management.

The SMB Agency Sales team keeps Google growing with our agency partners. We are dedicated to developing this expanding business in more than 40 languages globally and leveraging Google’s advertising solutions to make them successful online. In a scalable way, we are responsible for growing SMB clients’ advertising business by educating, solution and consulting with agencies directly. SMB Sales team members are extremely proactive, motivated, team-oriented and enthusiastic about our fast-paced environment. In this role, you will lead one of North America’s high-performing SMB Agency Sales teams. You will manage exceptional salespeople who are focused on growing business for Agencies’ accounts resourcefully. In this role you will be a business coach, participating in the process in order to drive business as well as think strategically about the program and work with partner teams to optimize the team’s growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Manage, inspire and motivate a team of client-facing and high-performing Googlers.
  • Participate in the business process where appropriate. Assess the needs of our agencies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Attract, develop, and retain industry leading talent.
  • Ensure team readiness to deliver complex advertising solutions. Lead team to deliver against assigned targets.
Minimum qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in online and/or traditional media business.
  • 2 years of experience in front-line and/or people management role.
  • 2 years of experience working within agencies or partnering closely with them.
Preferred qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • Passion for consultative solution selling with a drive to innovate.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills; ability to be personable yet persistent.
  • Independent and thrives on immersion in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proactive, can-do attitude, follow-through, resourcefulness, attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.
