Key Qualifications
– Strong programming skills, preferably with C, Objective-C, C++
– Excellent communication and collaborative skills
– Comfortable with large code bases, fast-paced environments, and tight schedules
– User interface programming experience
– Familiarity with statistical natural language processing
– Familiarity with WebKit / WebCore and Internationalization issues
– Fluency in one or more non-English languages
– 5 or more years of industry experience (Mac OS X or iOS preferred)

Description
The iOS keyboard and text team is looking for an excellent software engineer to join our team. The iPhone and iPad keyboards revolutionized the way that people use their mobile devices to communicate, and we’re only getting started! This is a high visibility, high impact position that requires a breadth of knowledge and deep understanding of OS fundamentals. As an engineer on the keyboard and text team, you will be working at all levels of the iOS platform: from low-level algorithm work and framework development to high-level UI programming and user interaction refinement. The keyboard architecture is constantly evolving as we continue to innovate and introduce breakthrough text input mechanisms for millions of users worldwide. To continue to delight our global audience, we work closely with international teams and native speakers to accommodate all the world’s script systems, so solid collaborative skills are a must. Fluency in a non-English language or familiarity with internationalization issues is a big plus!
Education
– BS CS/CE or equivalent
