The Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) in New York City is looking for a Technical Architect with deep technical, hands-on experience in helping large enterprises leverage cloud technologies to improve their business. In this role, you will work with the largest Microsoft enterprise customers in a pre/post sales capacity, working out of our MTC facility in Midtown.
The Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) is state-of-the-art facility that combines experience and expertise to help enterprises solve their business challenges, improve their customer reach and loyalty, improve productivity and collaboration, simplify their IT infrastructure and improve their overall business results. The MTCs engage early in the project life-cycle where the customer is just beginning to define the vision, imagine what is possible and determine if it’s feasible. Customers come to the MTC and say, “we could really transform our business if we could just do something like….” It’s your job to figure out how to go about accomplishing just that.
You will lead Briefings, Design Sessions and Proofs of Concept (POC) to articulate the business opportunity, propose and validate solution architecture, and transfer knowledge on best practices and change management. As part of your role you are also responsible for working with the worldwide MTC community to develop new offerings that communicate the value of the Microsoft platform.
The position requires deep technical expertise in the following areas:
Cloud technologies (including Infrastructure as a Service and Software as a Service), preferably utilizing Microsoft Azure;
Knowledge of competitive cloud technologies, third party solutions running on Azure, and the ability to create hybrid and migration scenarios for customers with the Microsoft Azure platform;
Development technologies, preferably .NET and Windows 8 development experience;
The successful candidate will also:

A BS/BA degree (Master’s preferred) or equivalent work experience combined with a minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience
