Our client is a major independently owned US Publishing house. Formed over 40 years ago it is one of America’s leading children’s book publishers with a unique product range, multiple internationally recognised brands and a large creative staff. They operate in all leading markets across the globe either through local offices or long established partnerships.
In Germany the business is well established supplying into a wide variety of national chains with a product range featuring leading international and local licences. An on-going re-alignment of strategy within the company’s German operation creates a rare and significant opportunity for a Sales Manager.
Accountable to and working closely with the Commercial Director, you will play a key role in support of the company’s drive to achieve planned, strong profitable sales and business growth within major retail and wholesale accounts in the GAS ( Germany, Austria & Switzerland ) territories. Your primary focus will be upon identifying and maximising sales opportunities within a number of national accounts and independent led sales channels. There will be excellent scope for on-going business development, personal achievement and reward and future career progression.
Candidates must have at least 3 yearssales experience with a proven track record, together with a strong network and good connections with relevant buyers in the children’s book or toy business sectors serving mass market customers in Germany / the GAS territories.
