Responsible for the overall co-ordination and planning of Marketing Department activities

*Outline of Duties *
o Prioritisation of work within the Department, concentrating on most efficient use of financial, technical & human resouces
o Planning & implementation of overall Marketing direction for the Company brands over the long term, taking into account relative growth, response and brand development
o Co-ordination and final sign-off of all brand media budgets each year
o Overall allocation of media budget to most efficient use, through regular monitoring of key metrics throughout the year
o Responsibility for compliance with regulatory frameworks, including FSA, DMA, DPA and EU directives.
o Maintenance of efficient communication both within the Department and between Marketing and other functions within the Company including Senior Management and Board
o Implementation of rules where necessary to facilitate effective working practices
o Co-ordination of activities which involve the whole Department so that the role acts as one central point of reference
o Ensuring each team has the equipment necessary to do their job
o Overseeing the quality of work that leaves the Department including sign off where necessary
o Management of all the people in the Department, including recruitment, appraisals, training and development
o Direct supervision of Brand Managers, Studio Manager and Media Managers to achieve business targets

*To be considered you must have: *
Experience of people management essential
Financial services/ insurance background highly advantageous
Thorough knowledge of the business also an advantage
Ability to manage people
Ability to build and maintain good working relationships inside and outside the Department
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
Ability to multi-task and manage time very well
Confidence to communicate well at all levels of the Company
Good understanding of numeric concepts and whether activities can be justified economically
