In order to reinforce its Belgium office our client is looking for a : Business/commercial Analyst (M/F)

Position summary and primary objectives :

Through intensive computer-based research and analysis, the commercial business analyst contributes to identify business
opportunities and performance improvement. By supporting information needs of business development, sales and operations departments, he/she contributes to improve the company performance.

Main duties/Key accountabilities :

Supports sales department by categorizing clients, analysing customer needs, portfolio performance and profitability, identifies growth and diversification opportunities
Supports marketing and business development managers by providing analysis of the markets,
competition and new opportunities
Supports Business development by analysing the vendor’s profitability over time, the impact on
the organisation costs, identifying improvements, opportunities and supporting
portfolio management decisions
Collects business feedback, both internal and external, to improve analyses and market approach
Supports Commercial Finance in daily activities (offer qualification, pricing…)
Analyses won and lost deals, to capitalize on the lessons learned
Validates incentive programs
Ensures administrative transition, follows up and controls financial execution of
projects with project managers and all teams involved in business performance.

Education, Training & Experience :

The candidate has a first successful experience in a commercial finance position: business analysis, costing and pricing …
He/she has worked in a similar IT environment: multinational exposure, focus on big deals and services.
Commercial acumen with an excellent understanding of the company business and the way it operates, as well as its key business drivers; the candidate is able to operate at both strategic and operational level.
Excellent knowledge of Dutch, French and English (working languages)
High skills in data management, analysis and reporting systems; MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint …); skills in SAP and Business Objects would be a significant advantage


Analytical, autonomous, communicative with no-nonsense approach, direct but diplomatic, hard worker (no 9-to-5 mentality), flexible, solutions minded, team spirit, organised, eye-for- detail, result-oriented
