Key responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Control

Lead monthly management reporting, taking review responsibility and planning an efficient monthly process
Deliver accurate, timely reporting and insightful analysis, through the team, to senior group management
Provide technical accounting leadership to the team and the wider group, ensuring reporting is in compliance with IFRS
Lead the regional quarterly forecasting and budgeting reporting processes, ensuring all key deadlines and deliverables are met accurately, timely and completely
Set the regional scope of financial information collection from the region’s multiple entities
Primary day-to-day liaison with the external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual statutory reporting
Become an Advanced User in the Global consolidation application and develop high standard of technical capability and report writing capabilities
Take responsibility for maintaining the highest reporting standard in a rapidly changing environment
Continually drives improvements in quality and efficiency of financial reporting processes, through structuring local team (direct reports) and processes, and influencing the regional teams
Support integration work streams affecting finance and reporting

Acquisition reporting

Take responsibility for the financial reporting and integration of acquisitions in the Americas region
Assist in IFRS review of acquisition targets

Strategic partnering with key business stakeholders and support functions

Support the team in providing accounting and reporting support to other functional teams on an ad hoc basis as required
Partner with senior management in order to drive and deliver upon the company’s strategic vision through enhanced operating profit and margin expansion
Provide strategic guidance and technical support to the senior finance leaders of the regional operating units

Key responsibilities:

CPA or Qualified chartered accountant (CA or equivalent) with substantial management experience in a fast paced, ambitious environment
Minimum 10 years of experience in either public accounting (will suit someone currently at Senior Manager level looking to transition into a commercial environment) and/or a multinational commercial environment with media and advertising experience preferred
Expert technical accounting knowledge (IFRS preferred)
Excellent commercial awareness and ability to understand and operate across a wide span of influence
Team management experience, with strong managerial skills and an interest in developing high performance teams
Excellent communication skills, with the finesse to diplomatically manoeuvre challenging situations with the proven ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork and results
The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines across multiple work streams
Knowledge of the Marketing Communications / Advertising Industry an advantage and preferred
M&A experience an advantage
Consistently meet deadlines, timely, accurately and completely
