Responsibilities
Ownership and strategy
Serve as a business owner for Belgium and be fully responsible for the expansion and evolution of the market.
Be the primary advocate and expert of the Belgian market.
Understand the global Airbnb strategy and execute it successfully in your market.
Design strategic plans to drive results and execute them in coordination with your cross functional partners such as Community, Legal, Marketing, PR, Product, Customer Experience, to ensure strategy.
Representation of Airbnb in Belgium
Inform and execute local Public Policy strategy by facilitating meetings with government officials and local associations as well as influencers.
Act as the company spokesperson in interviews with key media, liaise with our PR organisation and external agencies.
Business development and community management
Proactively identify new business development opportunities within the market (sponsorships, partnerships, co-marketing promotions).
Grow and support the host community in Belgium.
Develop concrete actions that will help to improve the experience of our hosts and guests.
Requirements
Very strong interpersonal skills.
Native level written and verbal fluency in French and Dutch
7-10 years solid, strategic, business development experience.
Worked with rapidly growing organizations.
Be highly analytical with the capability to propose and defend your ideas.
Have an intimate understanding of Belgium and a passion for the country.
Bachelor’s degree essential; MBA is an additional bonus.
Experience with ecommerce and internet businesses in Belgium with experience working with global Multi National Companies is a plus.
Background in Entrepreneurship, Marketing/Business Development, Management Consulting or Finance.
Be a natural born leader.

Action oriented, self-motivated, driven, and able to work autonomously if required.
