A large media organization seeks an Executive Director of Accounting Policy.
Responsibilities
As the Executive Director of Accounting Policy, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Review and summary of new and emerging accounting standards
Implementation of new accounting pronouncements
Coordination of company responses to proposed changes in accounting guidelines
Delivery of subject matter expertise on non-routine transactions such as investments and acquisitions, dispositions, derivative financial instruments and equity compensation
Development of a formal accounting policy training program
Research and documentation of conclusions related to technical accounting inquires
Management of compliance with existing policies and accounting policies
Review of SEC filings
Requirements
For the Accounting Policy Executive Director position, the employer seeks the following skills and experience:
At least eight years of Accounting experience that includes background in a Big Four or National Public Accounting firm
Strong technical accounting experience
CPA
Large company SEC experience
Expertise in Revenue Recognition
Media / Entertainment industry background highly desired
