Job Description
VMware’s Partner Network includes 3,900+ Service Providers operating in over 100 countries around the globe. VMware’s network of Cloud Service Providers enable customers to choose cloud services that are optimized for a range of different use cases, including seasonal projects, development/test, disaster recovery and select mission-critical applications. The Manager of Global Service provider Marketing is the leader responsible, at a global level, for collaboration with the Hybrid Cloud business unit to define the Service Provider marketing strategy, integrated marketing program creation, timely execution and consistent measurement & reporting in close cooperation and coordination with corporate and GEO partner stakeholders. These programs need to be built to seamlessly meld proven VMware enablement, demand generation and sales acceleration initiatives with each distributor’s unique value proposition to their market place. The primary responsibilities of this role are:
Collaborate with the BU and regional service provider marketing teams to define the global demand generation strategy for the Service Provider route to market
Develop integrated initiatives to build and track pipeline and revenue through these partners
Provide regular communications, updates and presentations on impacts and outcomes to GEO Partner Marketing, the Hybrid Cloud Business Unit and our Service Provider Sales leads
Experience:
5+ marketing experience in a high technology company
Proven track record of planning, building and executing successful and innovative, business to business demand generation programs
Ability to identify programmatic needs and gaps, drive strategy and influence change
Ability to collaborate, communicate and manage in a highly matrixed organization that operates across multiple time zones
Experience managing creative agencies, budgets and strong negotiation skills
Knowledge of messaging and value proposition development
Knowledge of hybrid cloud, software define data center and end user computing a plus
Undergraduate degree required, MBA favorable
Ability to travel 5% of the time – when needed worldwide and or within the continental USA
