The TAM role spans both the commercial and technical arenas requiring teamwork, leadership and broad ownership of many facets of NetApp’s relationship with its major customers. • Joint account management and planning responsibility with Global Enterprise Manager (GEM). • Work co-operatively with the GEM to maximise the revenue to and through the service provider. • Primary and overall responsibility for technical pre-sale activity; leading the pre-sale effort and co-ordinating the strategy of SIA’s, SE’s and all technical specialists. • Evangelising NetApp’s mission, value proposition and technology. • Maximising penetration of NetApp technology and solutions. • Developing a clear and concise understanding of the business strategy and objectives of the service provider to identify areas for NetApp to add value. • Promote service provider’s solutions within the NetApp sales force. • Positioning NetApp as the vendor of choice for all appropriate technology requirements to address these customer objectives. • Developing close, positive and productive working relationships with key customer stakeholders • Becoming viewed as an industry expert and thought leader; the first and most obvious person to contact for advice. • Communicating with other NetApp functions to improve products and solution offerings. • A key contributor to the Total Customer Experience of the assigned accounts. |

Minimum of 7 years of Systems Engineering experience or equivalent (enterprise storage or server industry experience preferred) | |
• BA/BS (EE/CS) or equivalent • Proven ability to successfully sell within service provider and/or enterprise accounts • Complete and demonstrated understanding of computer and advanced storage networking technologies as well as the whole solution stack • High level experience in file system or storage architecture: NFS / CIFS or SAN • Knowledgeable in emerging technologies relating to storage and data management and ideally in developing cloud solutions • Thoroughly competent in all NetApp’s product offerings, including service options. • Detailed knowledge of competitor offerings and positioning • Conversant in company strengths, weaknesses, positioning and offerings • Viewed as a leader by both peers and senior management • Excellent business communication skills |
