The ideal candidate will have the following:
Strong communication and analytical skills
Able to accurate estimate efforts and deliver on time
Experience with agile processes and general understanding of product development
Understanding of Continuous Integration practices
Familiarity with security practices in web application delivery
Good understanding of virtualisation
Experience with IaaS-based environments
Strong knowledge of Linux-based OS internals
Excellent knowledge of shell scripting as well as interpretative languages such as Java, Python or Ruby
Experience in configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet or similar
Strong knowledge of internet protocols
Experience in troubleshooting network services
Prior experience in designing, implementing or supporting high performance and large scale web applications
Understanding of the DevOps Toolchain components and how they fit together
Familiarity with the Oracle stack
Prior experience in administration of database systems
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience
3+ years of system administration experience of large scale production environments
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Define, design, and implement network communications and solutions within a fast-paced, leading edge database/applications company.
Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity. Propose client configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system. Work with others to define, coordinate vendor purchase needs. Responsible for support documentation as well.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years of related experience in a medium to large network distributed and computing environment. BS in Computer Science or related field.
