Skills and Attributes
The position requires a number of specific skills, including:
Understanding of Enterprise Architecture trends and initiatives (SOA, Cloud, In-Memory process)
Solid technical analysis and business background
Solid understanding of marketing applications, data warehousing, enterprise architecture, solutions and technologies
High availability concepts of IBM HA, Lifekeeper, Tandem and Cirrus.
Solid understanding of difference security mechanisms
Desirable – Experience with Integrated Marketing Management products, Big Data, and High Availability products
15 to 20 years of experience in at least four IT disciplines (such as technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations) in a multitier environment and two years of experience in business analysis or business strategic planning.
Solid working knowledge of various coding practices and web integrations.
Proposal development and service offering scoping/project definition Benchmark design, development and execution
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
Strong leadership skills.
Understand the architectural design differences for realtime vs near real time and batch
Excellent project management and program management skills
Excellent analytical and technical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture and integration.
Understanding of the political climate of the enterprise and how to navigate the politics.
Ability to balance the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions.
Ability to apply multiple solutions to business problems.
Ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
Qualifications
15 years as an internal or external Consultant with broad exposure and experience in a variety of circumstances and a proven record of success.
10+ years of experience as a Solution Architect within the applications space
5+ years of experience as an Enterprise architect within the applications space
2+ years of experience in one or more of the following EAI concept tools:
Messaging protocols such as TIBCO or MQ-Series.
ETL tools- Informatics, DataStage, Attunity, and AbInitio.
TCP/IP Sockets based protocols
2+ years of experience in one or more of the following Service Architecture Tools:
J2EE, .net; Networking, Physical Design, Performance and Programming.
Application Servers- JBOSS, Weblogic, and Websphere.
Web Servers- Apache, Tobcat, and Netscape,
5+ years of applications development and architecture utilizing the following:
Java, C, C++, C#, Perl, PHP, Python, UNIX shell, SQL, HTML, etc…
Requirements based methodologies
Experience in two or more of the following operating systems and Large Databases:
Operating Systems- Windows, LINUX, UNIX and MVS. (two or more required)
Large Databases- DB2, MSSQL, OLTP and Oracle (two or more required)
NoSQL – Hadooop, Mongo
High Availability, Disaster Recovery (required)
High Availability experience (desirable)
Dual Active
Teradata Unity products (Unity Director, Unity Mover, Unity loader, Unity Eco-System Manager)
Replication Services (e.g., Golden Gate, SharePlex, Oracle Streams, DataMirror)
Master of Science degree in one of the following:
Computer Science
Engineering
