PM Responsibilities – Insurance Data Solutions

• Implement and refine product management processes and tools

• Create and implement product vision and roadmap throughout the product life cycle, including updates, enhancements, migration and retirement.

• Manage operations and profitability of products by maintaining volume, and budget reports on an on-going basis and monitoring budgets and system performance metrics.

• Monitor day-to-day operations of product(s), including 3rd party gateways. Respond to and resolve issues.

• Provide assistance with customer implementations, consumer disclosure and support as needed.

• Support customer test environment for products to ensure the test environment appropriately reflects the product.

• Understand regulatory and legislative requirements affecting products, completing legal research, analysis and compliance tasks as required.

• Assist all teams as Subject Matter Expert by providing input and validation of market research, market problem discovery, and identification of customer prospects, business proposals, product market requirements and RFPs.

• Understand competitive landscape.

• For product enhancements, assist in gathering, validating and evaluating product/market requirements through market and customer research, competitive and product research. Accountable for feasibility of market requirements, reports, pricing and billing requirements, data elements, input and output specifications, product configuration and consumer disclosure procedures.

• Work with Technology to prioritize and implement product roadmap items, minor enhancements and various product fixes.

• Manage contractual, technical, and consulting relationships with strategic partners and 3rd party suppliers

• Ensure effective communication of product changes and new developments to stakeholders and other internal groups.

• Develop materials communicating the purpose and details of the product including definition of its uses, benefits to the customer, customization capabilities, and competitive comparison for use by marketing and sales.

• Responsible for developing and maintaining training documentation, sales and operations training, customer notifications and customer documentation.

• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Management, Analytics and Market Vertical teams to coordinate special projects.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following skills/characteristics:

• Graduate 2.1 or above

• Experience leading product, program, engineering, or project functions, preferably in insurance or data businesses.

• Knowledge of product development, management and evaluation processes.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment with changing and multiple priorities

• Strong spoken and written communication

• Strong analytical skills with proven problem solving ability

• Understanding of financial responsibilities.

• Ability to build and maintain positive rapport with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, and across different timezones

• Excellent attention to detail

• Self-motivated and able to take responsibility for deliverables

• Excellent judgment and discretion

• Ability to adapt to new environments, adjusts to situations or demands, and function effectively in them with a minimum of confusion or loss of productivity.

• Experience with databases and data processing

The following would also be advantageous:

• Project management and business analyst experience

• Creative problem-solver, able to think laterally

• Familiarity with the Data Protection Act

• Exposure to cloud services and service models

• Experience in Big Data
