Director of Systems Engineering, Enterprise Solutions Group
Dell is seeking a Director of Systems Engineering to lead a high-performing team of senior engineers that design highly differentiated technologies for Dell’s PowerEdge server portfolio. This team designs and supports our modular server platforms with detailed system architectures and design specifications for implementation by internal engineering teams, technology partners, and ODMs.
In this high-visibility position, you will provide strategic direction for your team, partner with peer organizations globally, and facilitate the transfer of marketing requirements and advanced engineering concepts into design activities both within your team and across the broader server engineering organization. Responsibilities also include managing technical and business relationships with key technology partners.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following portfolio of experience and talent:
– An engineering degree, with experience in hardware design, embedded systems design, or software design. The ideal candidate will have experience in more than one of these disciplines.
– Multiple years of inspirational team leadership of senior-level development engineers
– A track record as an initiator of innovation and organizational culture change
– Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives across multiple functions in a large organization
– Business relationship experience with technology suppliers
– Superior problem solving and analytical capabilities
– Persuasive communication, relationship-building, and influence skills
