The charter for this position is to increase technology vertical-specific revenue from current and prospective customers through high impact content, narratives, customer engagements, and acquisition and retention marketing programs.

In this role, you will be charged with a broad range of marketing activity concentrated in the technology industry. You will be the technology industry expert who develops and drives vertical strategy across sales teams and regions to maximize revenue. You will be the budget owner for marketing investments within the technology vertical and drive cross-functional teams to achieve customer success. A key element in this role is content creation that achieves relevance for enterprise customers and can be scaled for mid-market customers across the following channels: field sales, events, online and social media. This role requires strong alignment to the sales team but is not accountable for day-to-day account management or specific meeting preparation or RFP responses.

Responsibilities:

Working as a business partner with the Technology Vertical Sales Lead and must be a collaborative, experienced cross-functional marketer.
Executing segmentation of technology audiences (as needed into actionable sub-verticals, by marketer objectives) to inform effective go-market strategies and tactics.
Developing tech vertical marketing plan, budget, campaign calendar and tracking of investment ROI.
Developing tech vertical content and collateral (narratives, case studies, best practices) by applying horizontal product-level content developed by your counterparts in Product Marketing and knowledge of customers’ needs and where they are in the buying cycle.
Supporting the launch of new products to market with content and programs by laying out the best ways for our customers in the tech vertical to apply the release to their goals
Partnering with the research and insights team on investments needed to create content and campaigns that achieve a specific objective (thought leadership to shift perception, event content, acquisition, retention).
Executing online acquisition programs to drive leads and develop email nurture campaigns for prospects and trial customers.
Leading sales training in North America for all related tech vertical content and programs.
Facilitating regular knowledge sharing among sellers across regions and size of clients
Streamlining voice of customer input to Product Marketing/Product team.

Requirements:

9+ years of experience working with the technology vertical industry, preferably with global experience
7+ years of marketing related experience (marketing, solutions, partnerships) with prior responsibilities in audience/market strategy and content development and execution.
2+ years experience with advertising products and solutions.
Strong knowledge of customer segmentation and needs within the technology industry and the ability to create content to address these needs.
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate complexity into simple and intuitive communications.
Passion for LinkedIn, storytelling, insights, solution selling and our customers.
BA degree required. MBA a plus but not required
